Icelandic geological volcanic resources and activity create black sand by cooling lava as it rolls on the Reynisfjara beach. Also, Sneaker waves, which are giant waves that get larger rapidly to reach a shore, are a unique, dangerous phenomenon.
Kamimura recorded the sound of the wave of spring tide of Black Sand Beach on the full moon day as a part of the “perfect circle,” a project he has been working on collecting the sound of sea waves on full moon and new moon days since 2011.
